My name is Reem Almulla. I am an artist from the UAE. I enjoy exploring the motifs around me, especially the traditional ones, and using them to create patterns. Growing up in the 80s, I was surrounded by doors and buildings adorned with motifs. This type of aesthetic in buildings is decreasing due to the tendency to build more modern designs. I am trying to revisit these motifs with a fresher outlook, and I enjoy experimenting with different colors and creating various combinations of patterns, resulting in different visual experiences. I find using digital tools is ideal for my work, as it allows me to explore endless possibilities with motifs and colors.

About Me
I studied Art at the Sharjah Art Institute and have showcased my work in two exhibitions: "Launch" at Sharjah Art Institute (March 2012) and "Bouquet of Art" at Sharjah Art Institute (June 2011). Through experimenting with various art and design mediums, I discovered my passion for digital art, particularly in creating motifs and patterns. Currently, I am dedicated to exploring local motifs from my country, while also aiming to delve into motifs from different cultures to explore the connections between elements in various cultures and civilizations. Despite being rooted in cultural motifs, my art incorporates contemporary compositions and colors to give it a modern and diverse touch. I prefer using digital tools to create my artwork, as it allows me to explore different compositions and colors.
